Gainesville, Fla. – Dr. Ravindra K. Ahuja, President & CEO of Innovative Scheduling, has been awarded the 2013 Distinguished Member Award from the Rail Application Section (RAS) of INFORMS. This annual award recognizes an RAS volunteer whose contributions provide a far-reaching impact on the organization and the railroad industry.
Ahuja, an INFORMS fellow, was recognized for his outstanding and long-lasting contributions in giving RAS a new direction and inspiring others to follow in his footsteps. His noteworthy accomplishments include guiding students to perform award-winning research in rail applications, making fundamental contributions in advanced rail analytics, and promoting RAS through special events, newsletters, websites and more. Ahuja received the award at the annual RAS dinner on Oct. 6 during the organization's national meeting.
