Director – Human Resources
Anastasia boldly leads Optym’s people strategy to help the company evolve during an exciting time of growth, viewing the role of human resources (HR) as a key internal partner in business strategy. She specializes in organizational design and development, international business and change management to ensure high-performance, cross-functional teams on a global scale. She is pursuing her MBA at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School to bolster the strategic value of HR leadership.
Anastasia brings to Optym extensive experience in creating outstanding workplaces, applying best practices and translating HR strategy into executable and innovative solutions. She is a dynamic and creative professional who ask questions and seeks to proactively address challenges while finding ways to strengthen and motivate employees.
Prior to joining Optym, Anastasia developed and led the HR function as the Director of Human Resources at an upstream exploration and production company in Houston, Texas. She transitioned all company systems in support of an IPO, designing and implementing complex processes and policies related to compensation, incentive programs and stock management systems.
Anastasia grew up overseas and has lived in several countries – even studying Buddhism at a monastery in Thailand. This has helped her understand the international component of business and HR. She uses her spare time to continue learning about the world by voraciously reading about leadership and management, watching TED talks and learning new languages. She speaks English, Portuguese, Indonesian, Malay, Norwegian, German, Spanish and Thai.
Anastasia earned her M.Sc. in Human Resources Development & Organizational Design from the University of Houston.
